Universal guard for FS 550

With the STIHL universal guard for FS 500 and FS 550, you can prevent grass and stones from being flung in your direction as you work. These are caught by the plastic screen and then fall to the ground. For example, small stones may be loosened along with the grass when trimming lawn edges along beds or house walls. When this happens they can be flung upwards by the rotating cutting tool along with the grass clippings.

The universal guard is designed to be easily attached to your STIHL petrol-driven brushcutter. Whether you are working with a line mowing head or a grass-cutting blade, The STIHL universal guard for FS 500 and FS 550 protects you while you complete gardening work. The universal guard is suitable for quick lawn mowing jobs as well as for trimming hedges, bushes and hard vegetation. It can be optionally extended with an apron, which is highly advantageous when cutting large areas, long-stemmed material or working on stony ground.

The STIHL universal guard for mowing heads and metal tools is suitable for cutting circle diameters of 420 mm (line) and 260 mm (metal) on STIHL FS 500, STIHL FS 550 and STIHL FS 550 L petrol-driven brushcutters.
